Even though Estonia has its own national carrier, Nordica, the Latvian airline, AirBaltic, has become the number one airline carrying passengers to and from the Tallinn Airport.
In February 2019, AirBaltic carried over 35,000 passengers to and from the Tallinn Airport, more than any other airline. The airline has reached the market share of 19%, improving its standing by four percentage points compared with February 2018.
“We are fully committed to the Estonian market and we will offer the largest seat capacity among all airlines from Tallinn Airport this summer,” Martin Gauss, the CEO of AirBaltic, said in a statement. “We see very strong demand from the Estonian market and we are here to provide the best connectivity to and from Tallinn.”
AirBaltic offers directs flights to Amsterdam, Berlin, London, Oslo, Paris, Stockholm, Vienna, Vilnius and Riga from Tallinn. In early June, the airline will launch a direct flight from Tallinn to Malaga, Spain.
