Director of the Regional Business Development, HEAK, Enterprise Estonia
My current job is assisting foreign investors in Harju and Rapla counties and help EAS Estonian Investment Agency (I also belong to theyr team) to find new locations for new foreign investors, promote the region and find new investors. Before that I worked as Associated Consultant for Innovation Norway for 7,5 years up to the time when they closed the office in Baltics. Before that I was Commercial Adviser at the Danish Embassy in Tallinn for 3 yrs until they closed the Commercial section in Tallinn Embassy. During these postings I was also a member of Management Board in DECC and NECC until it was decided to withdraw from active membership. I also have worked 7 yrs in the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the question: “What does it give me to be a member of your chamber?” is not strange to me. But I strongly believe in the value of being a mamber of a foreign chamber/s in Estonia. Naturally it depends on the activity level and strength of the chamber. NECC has come a long way since then and the development has been very positive- from a social club to well functioning and respected business organisation. HEAK is member of NECC for approx 3 yrs since I started working there. I am actively promoting the value of membership in local chambers to my customers. I am proud to mention that I have even managed to get some new members for NECC. I would like to keep my good connections with Norway and strengthen the co-operation between our organisations and naturally Estonia and Norway. I came to the idea in 2017 after IN with my own consultancy to organise an event and trade mission to Oslo Innovation Week. I talked about it to Annely (NECC CEO), we went together to EAS and so the successful event was born. To list some of my strengths useful for NECC Management Board: strong organizing and networking skills, extensive business network in Estonia as well in Norway. I believe I can be a valuable asset to NECC Management Board and bring new perspectives. Takk!
